Japan Needs Tech Talent! Job Placement Program for IT & Engineering Graduates

Japan's tech industry is facing a shortage of skilled professionals—and that spells a major opportunity for Indonesian graduates. Seeing the high demand across IT and engineering, Nakamura Study Japan has officially opened its Japan Job Placement Program for IT/Engineering graduates—a legal, structured route to a professional career in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Unlike an internship scheme, participants depart on an official work visa. The program is built to help diploma and degree graduates in Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and related fields work directly at Japanese companies, complete with training and full support.

Who Can Join?

  • Final-year students or graduates with at least a diploma (D3) in IT/Engineering.
  • Candidates with basic tech or engineering ability—no need to be an expert, since training is provided in Japan.
  • Applicants with at least JLPT N3. Don't have N3 yet? No worries, we offer the prep course.
  • No age limit—applicants of all ages are welcome.

The program suits IT/engineering fresh graduates, polytechnic or university graduates wanting to work abroad, young professionals starting an international career, and language-program alumni who've already passed JLPT N3.

Why This Route Is Different

  • Legal and guaranteed — you enter on an official work visa, not an internship.
  • No advanced skills needed upfront — a solid foundation is enough; the Japanese company trains the rest.
  • Training provided — both advanced Japanese and technical, on the job.
  • A-to-Z guidance — from choosing the company and preparing documents to settling into life in Japan.
  • No hefty agent fees — a transparent process with our professional team in Indonesia and Japan.

The Program Stages

  • Consultation & initial registration — we assess your educational background and language ability.
  • Japanese language training (if needed) — an intensive online/offline course for those not yet at N3.
  • Interview with a Japanese company — we match you with a partner firm; interviews can be done from Indonesia.
  • COE & work visa processing — we handle every document so you leave legally and safely.
  • Departure & starting work — you depart on an official employment contract, with extra on-site training in Japan.

Salary and Types of Roles

Starting salaries range from ¥200,000–¥300,000 per month (around Rp20–30 million), for roles such as support engineer, software developer, machine technician, network systems, and automation technician. After 1–2 years of work and passing an advanced skills exam, you can move up to permanent (seishain) status on a higher salary.
